Editorial Policy

Our editorial process is designed for clarity, caution, and usefulness. We prioritize government health sources, medical education resources, prescribing and safety information, and transparent consumer-protection guidance.

Source hierarchy

  1. Government and regulator sources such as FDA, NIH/NIDDK, CDC, and FTC.
  2. Medical education sources such as MedlinePlus.
  3. Peer-reviewed or professional-society sources when needed.
  4. Provider or commercial sources only for provider-specific facts, and only when labeled.

Review and medical-review status

The editorial team checks claims against the sources linked on each page. Current pages are not reviewed by a licensed clinician and are not a substitute for personal medical advice. A page will claim clinical review only if a named clinician has reviewed it and the page shows that person's credentials and review date.

AI-assisted workflow

AI-assisted tools may help organize research or prepare an early draft. They do not replace source checking, editorial judgment, or clinical review. We do not cite AI output as evidence.

Corrections

If a page is unclear or outdated, contact us and include the page URL and the source you believe should be considered.

Update workflow

Curated pages are reviewed when major source pages change, when new regulator guidance affects the topic, when a factual issue is reported, or during deliberate content maintenance. We do not publish articles on a daily quota. Each article includes its original publication date and a modified date in page metadata.

Commercial content policy

Weight Reset Guide is currently an education-only publication: its pages do not carry paid partner (affiliate) links or advertising promotions, and current educational pages keep safety information, alternatives, and source context in place. The site previously operated separate paid advertising landing pages, which have been discontinued; those pages were required to disclose the relationship clearly. If commercial relationships are ever added in the future, they must be disclosed on the page and in our Affiliate Disclosure, and they will not change the content of educational articles.
